Tennis One members experience levels
LEVEL | CATEGORY | DESCRIPTION |
---|---|---|
A0 | Soft ball, within the service box | Complete beginner with no previous tennis experience. Learning basic strokes and how to keep the ball in play using a soft ball and a smaller court. |
A1 | Soft or red ball, within service box boundaries | Beginner learning how to serve, move on court, and keep score. Can hit a few shots in a row and practices rallying cooperatively using a soft or red ball. |
A2 | Orange ball, within the orange court boundaries | Can play slow-paced points on the orange court. Developing ball direction and movement, and learning basic singles and doubles positions. |
A3 | Green or regular ball, full court boundaries | Can rally at a slow pace using a green or regular ball. Developing technique and control. Ready for friendly social matches on a full court. |
B1 | Regular ball, full court | Can rally from the baseline with moderate consistency. Learning topspin and basic tactics. Movement and court positioning still need improvement. |
B2 | Regular ball, full court | More stable rally consistency from the baseline. Starting to direct shots and vary pace. Developing both first and second serves. |
B3 | Regular ball, full court | Can sustain longer rallies, controls shot direction and depth. Has a simple game plan and is learning how to apply tactics. |
C1 | Regular ball, full court | Reliable baseline game with good depth and direction. Uses a game plan but may break down under pressure. Net play is limited. (~4th league level) |
C2 | Regular ball, full court | Plays with control and variety. Uses spin, changes of pace, and net play to create opportunities. Can adapt the game plan as needed. (~2nd–3rd league level) |
D1 | Regular ball, full court | High-level club player with strong shot control and tactical awareness. Moves efficiently and handles pressure well. (~1st league & GP level) |
D2 | Regular ball, full court | Advanced player with consistent technique, strategic depth, and versatility in all game areas. Competes at a strong tournament level. (~GP and international level – ITF/WTA/ATP) |
Thanks to Tennis One's professional, supportive and encouraging coaches, I have discovered that tennis has had a great impact on me in many ways – improved my coordination, physicality, and boosted my mood better than anything else :)
