Tennis One members experience levels
LEVEL | CATEGORY | DESCRIPTION |
---|---|---|
A0 | Soft ball, within the service box | Complete beginner. No previous tennis experience. Learning basic strokes and how to keep the ball in play. |
A1 | Soft or orange ball, played within the service box or orange court area | Beginner. Learning to serve, move, and keep score. Can participate in short rallies. |
A2 | Orange ball, within the orange court boundaries | Learning better ball direction and movement. Can play slow-paced points. Learning basic singles and doubles positions. |
A3 | Green or regular ball, orange or full court boundaries | Can keep the ball in play at a slow pace, developing stroke technique and movement. Ready for social matches. |
B1 | Regular ball, full court | Can keep the ball in play at a medium pace but has inconsistent stroke control and struggles with positioning. Learning topspin and basic match tactics. |
B2 | Regular ball, full court | Strokes are becoming more stable. Can direct the ball and control pace. Can sustain longer rallies with players of similar level. Developing first and second serves. |
B3 | Regular ball, full court | Stable baseline game. Can vary shot direction, pace, and depth. Developing tactical match play. |
C1 | Regular ball, full court | Reliable baseline strokes with directional and depth control. Can hit winners and adjust pace. Game plan works in simple situations but often breaks down under pressure. Limited net play and slower movement in difficult points. ~IV league level. |
C2 | Regular ball, full court | Varies shot pace and spin. Uses net play and approach shots. Maintains game plan under pressure and adapts to situations. Effective movement and actively looks to finish points. ~II-III league level. |
D1 | Regular ball, full court | Very good stroke consistency and direction. Can control the game using pace and tactics. Effective court coverage and can vary shots depending on the situation. ~I league ja GP level. |
D2 | Regular ball, full court | High-level player. Successfully combines shot pace, spin, and tactics. Plays consistently at a strong competitive level. ~GP and international tournament (ITF/WTA/ATP) experience. |
